Statement of Intent

Aurora is an electricity company within the meaning of the Electricity Industry Reform Act 1998 and is deemed to be an energy company for the purposes of some sections of the Energy Companies Act 1992. It is not a Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) as defined by the Local Government Act 2002 (the Act).

Certain provisions of the Act apply to the Aurora as a result of Section 72 of the Act and require the Company to provide a Statement of Intent, which complies with the Act.
