Use of System Agreement
Aurora has use-of-system agreements with electricity retailers that govern the commercial arrangements for distributing electricity to consumers. The use-of-system agreements are based, as much as possible, on the model agreement promulgated by the Electricity Commission, having due regard to commercial negotiation between the parties.
Aurora's use-of-system agreements are based on the interposed model; that is, Aurora invoices use-of-system charges to electricity retailers, who then incorporate these charges in their power bills to electricity consumers. In other words, the electricity retailer is interposed between Aurora and the electricity consumer.
