Appointment of General Manager Customer and Engagement

Aurora Energy announces the appointment of Sian Sutton in the newly created role of General Manager Customer and Engagement from February 2019.

Sian has been leading teams of communication and engagement professionals for over 15 years in various settings internationally and holds a Masters degree in International Relations. 

She is currently Director of Stakeholder Engagement at the Otago Regional Council and prior to that worked extensively in Australia in similar roles with a strong background in stakeholder engagement, media, government relations, communication and customer experience.

Chief executive of Aurora Energy Richard Fletcher said: “I am very pleased to welcome Sian to the executive team. As General Manager Customer and Engagement, she will be responsible for Aurora Energy’s customer experience, stakeholder engagement, communication and human resource management functions.

“This newly created position will have an important role in enabling Aurora Energy to further refine our approach to customer experience and to ensure our stakeholders and customers are kept fully engaged on the network and key projects”.

Ms Sutton said: “Through the recruitment process I got a great sense that Aurora Energy is moving forward as a newly formed entity and the executive team has a clear focus on continuing to drive performance across the organisation, including a strong customer focus. I am excited to play a role as part of the team,” said Ms Sutton.
