From time to time, we need to turn the power off to work safely when we are upgrading or maintaining the electricity network. We will notify affected customers before the planned outage through your electricity retailer.
What to do if your whole area loses power
Aurora Energy will be working on the problem as soon as it occurs. If you work in a remote or rural area, call your electricity retailer to log the fault. Turn off appliances and electrical equipment – some can be a fire hazard and others might be damaged when the power comes back on.
What to do if your place is the only one without power
Check the circuit breakers and/or fuses on your switchboard to see if it is still working.
If your switchboard seems to be working, you may have a fault in the supply to your premises. Call your electricity retailer to log the fault.
