Update on Power Outages in Dunedin and Central Otago

A supply interruption is affecting some electricity customers on the Aurora Energy network.
The current status as at 10:00am is:
Dunedin
- Power is out to 137 customers in the Port Chalmers area after a fallen tree downed power lines. Customers from Carey’s Bay to Aramoana have been affected. Estimated restoration time is midday.
- Power has been restored to all customers in the Dalmore, Northeast Valley and Gardens areas.
Central Otago
- Power has been restored to all customers in the Island Block, Millers Flat and Raes Junction areas.
Keep safe
Always keep well clear of power lines and electrical equipment and treat them as live at all times. People using medical equipment that relies on electricity should ensure they are prepared for power disruptions and if there is an immediate health threat, contact their health provider or call 111. During a power outage, switch appliances off at the wall to avoid possible damage to electrical appliances when power is restored.
