Annual Tree Trim – Ladies Mile, Frankton

01 August 2017
Aurora Energy will carry out an annual trim of a row of trees along Ladies Mile, State Highway 6, Frankton so they remain a safe distance from the power lines. No trees will be felled during this work.

We thank the local community for its patience while our contractor, Delta, carries out this important safety work from Monday 7 August to Friday 11 August between 8:30am and 3:30pm.

For safety, a 50 km/h speed restriction will apply on State Highway 6 from the corner of Howards Drive to the corner of Mcdowell Drive when work is in progress (see map).

No power outage is required for this work. By regularly trimming the trees, they can be kept a safe distance from the power lines without needing to turn the power off. The high voltage power lines supply 2,600 electricity customers in the Arrowtown, Lower Shotover and Lake Hayes Estate areas.

More safety information on trees and power lines is available here.
